Music Performance

Since my first professional oboe gig on Christmas Eve of my eighth grade year—and really since my first public musical performance in my short-lived violin career at age five—I have loved playing instruments in support of events ranging from church services to musical theater productions to concerts and recitals. More recently, I have also embraced opportunities to play ukulele and bass guitar with rock bands and alto saxophone with Providence’s Extraordinary Rendition Band.

Trust me—there is a rich tone in Crikkett’s timbre with snappy rhythmic taste!
— Dr. Joseph Amante y Zapata

Domine Deus Rex Coelestis from Vivaldi’s Gloria, performed with the combined choirs of St. Peter’s-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church and the Community College of RI, under the baton of Dr. Joseph Amante. December 13, 2021, Narragansett, RI.

In Sleep the World Is Yours by Lori Laitman (2013), performed as part of the Music for the End Times program at AS220, Providence, RI, on March 5, 2022. With Rachel Hanauer, soprano, and Nathaniel Baker, piano. Laitman begins at 14:00.

Crikkett is a musically and emotionally intelligent chamber music performer, always supporting their colleagues and serving the composer’s vision. It is always a pleasure working with them!

Captured via “Tuba-cam,” this 2019 PVDFest MainStage performance of “Red, White and Shiny” by the Extraordinary Rendition Band includes my alto sax solo starting at about 04:40.

This song is the first in my “Silly Sunday Songs” project, trying to improve my songwriting by writing as many songs as possible without worrying too much about how good they (or the videos) are. Vist the channel for more songs in the series!
